Simple Memory Game for Practicing Vowel Sounds

Looking for an easy and engaging way to help students practice vowel sounds? I’ve created a simple memory game designed to help my students focus on the pronunciation of A, E, I, and O . How It Works The game includes 4 pairs (8 cards in total) , each featuring an animal that matches a specific vowel sound. Students take turns flipping over two cards, trying to find the matching pairs while saying the vowel sounds out loud. Why This Works Supports Pronunciation – Helps students practice clear articulation of vowels. Enhances Vocabulary – Introduces new words in a fun way. Builds Memory Skills – Strengthens focus and recall through play. Quick and Easy to Use – Perfect for small groups, centers, or one-on-one practice. This low-prep activity is a great way to reinforce phonics while keeping students engaged. The game is available in both Norwegian and English – feel free to try it out and let me know how it works for your students! Happy teaching!  See Me and Say Hi on ...

Just like the previous workbooks, this one is perfect for visual learners, as it includes activities that make reading feel interactive and fun.   Boost Symbol Recognition with a Simple Clothespin Matching Activity Are you looking for a simple yet effective way to practice symbol recognition with your students? This engaging activity is designed to support students who use Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) and are learning to identify and match PCS (Picture Communication Symbols). Playful Learning: Teaching Kids to Group and Sort

This activity is a fun way for kids to explore and understand categories like "animals" and "clothing." Each sheet comes with eight picture tiles that go in the open space in the middle. You’ll use four at a time—two from each category—so the child can match each picture tile to the corresponding image on the sheet. But here's the twist: instead of simply matching identical pictures (which is common in many matching tasks), this encourages kids to think a little deeper about how things are grouped. It helps with generalizing the concept of matching and categorizing, rather than just focusing on picture-to-picture recognition. The final sheet takes it a step further by having kids match items to their broader category—great for reinforcing the idea of classification! And if you love using Velcro for hands-on learning, go for it! Group and Sort
