Looking for an easy and engaging way to help students practice vowel sounds? I’ve created a simple memory game designed to help my students focus on the pronunciation of A, E, I, and O.
How It Works
The game includes 4 pairs (8 cards in total), each featuring an animal that matches a specific vowel sound. Students take turns flipping over two cards, trying to find the matching pairs while saying the vowel sounds out loud.
Why This Works
- Supports Pronunciation – Helps students practice clear articulation of vowels.
- Enhances Vocabulary – Introduces new words in a fun way.
- Builds Memory Skills – Strengthens focus and recall through play.
- Quick and Easy to Use – Perfect for small groups, centers, or one-on-one practice.
This low-prep activity is a great way to reinforce phonics while keeping students engaged. The game is available in both Norwegian and English – feel free to try it out and let me know how it works for your students!
Happy teaching!
