Are you looking for a visual way to help your students understand the difference between summer and winter? I've created a matching and sorting activity that’s designed to support early learners and children with adapted educational needs.
This resource is perfect for working on:
-
Seasonal awareness
-
Vocabulary building
-
Visual discrimination
-
Categorization skills
What’s Included?
The activity comes in two levels of difficulty and is available in both English and Norwegian. You can use it as part of a thematic unit on the seasons, or as an independent center activity.
How to Use It:
-
Print and laminate the cards for repeated use
-
Let students work independently or in small groups
-
Use it as a morning task, in a learning center, or during circle time
Why I Made It:
Many of my students need concrete, visual input to understand abstract concepts like seasons. By showing them pictures of everyday summer and winter scenes, we can have meaningful conversations about weather, clothing, activities, and more.
This activity makes it easy to scaffold learning and adapt it to each student's level.
